This Website is an internet site operated and maintained by Artidis AG (“Site”).

Protecting the privacy of the users of our Site is very important to Artidis AG (“Artidis” or “we” or “us”). Most of our content can be used without registration, however, we use industry-standard technologies to measure and improve the performance of our Site and collect data for that purpose. In some instances we cooperate with external service providers.  

We comply with the requirements of the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since September 2023). Where applicable, we also align our practices with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Policy explains how and why we collect, use, and protect your personal data, and what rights you have.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT AND FOR WHAT PURPOSES?

Visiting the Site

Our Site can also be used without disclosing personal data. Our Site server, though, temporarily stores information about user access. This includes the IP address, the date and time of the access, the name and URL of the file accessed, the website from which the access is made (referrer URL), the browser used, the operating system and the name of the user’s access provider. We use this data to ensure a smooth connection setup, comfortable use of the Site, evaluation of system security and stability and  for other administrative purposes.

We host our website using the service provider Webflow, Inc. (“Webflow”), located in the United States. Webflow acts as our data processor and may collect and store technical server log data on our behalf. We do not have access to Webflow’s internal server infrastructure.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interests in ensuring the technical stability and security of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31(1) FADP).

Retention:. Server log data processed on our behalf by our hosting provider is generally retained for approximately 7 days, unless longer retention is required for security investigations or legal purposes.

Using the Contact Form

Our contact form allows you to reach us directly. To use it, you must provide your name and e-mail address.

Purpose: To process your inquiry and respond to you.

If you contact us via form or request to receive email communication or newsletters, your data may be processed using Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC), a US-based email service provider acting as our processor. Mailchimp may store your data on servers in the United States.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in communicating with you and responding to your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31(1) FADP), or performance of pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Retention: We retain contact form data for approximately 90 days after your request has been processed, unless legal obligations require longer retention.

HOW DO WE USE COOKIES ON OUR SITE?

To optimize our offer, we use cookies -small text files stored on your device that help analyze your use of the Site.

We use the Cookiebot consent management platform to display a cookie banner when you first visit our Site. Cookiebot allows you to accept or reject optional cookies and provides detailed information on each cookie category.

HOW DO WE USE WEB ANALYSIS TOOLS?

We may use Google Analytics a web analytics service provided by Google LLC,  in the future to better understand how visitors use our website. If activated, Google Analytics will only be deployed after you provide consent through our Cookiebot banner. We will also update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

If activated, Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze your use of the Site. IP anonymization would be enabled to shorten your IP address before transfer.

Where personal data is transferred to the United States, Google relies on the EU–U.S. and Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks to ensure adequate protection.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data via the browser add-on.

WHY DO WE USE SOCIAL MEDIA PLUG-INS?

Our Site may include plug-ins or links to social media platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). These features enable you to view or share content and connect with us on these platforms.When you interact with such plug-ins or embedded content, your browser may transmit personal data (such as your IP address or browser information) to the respective provider, even if you are not logged into your account.We have no access to or control over the data collected or the use of cookies by these third-party providers. DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR DATA TO THIRD PARTIES?

We only disclose your personal data to third parties when:

There is a legal obligation to do so,
It is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims,
It is necessary for performing a contract with you, or
It is required for our legitimate business operations.

We also share data with trusted service providers (processors) who support our website operation, hosting, analytics, or communication tools. These providers process data only under our instructions and according to strict confidentiality and data protection requirements.

In particular, Webflow (hosting) and Mailchimp (email communication and newsletters) act as our processors and may process personal data in the United States. Where such transfers occur, protections under the Swiss–U.S. and EU–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks apply.

HOW SECURE IS YOUR DATA?

We use appropriate technical and organizational security measures (TOMs) to protect your personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties.

Our Site uses SSL/TLS encryption for secure transmission.

Webflow implements industry-standard hosting and infrastructure security measures. As a controller, we regularly review the security of our processors.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR DATA?

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Once data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Retention periods may vary depending on the service provider. For example, Webflow generally retains server logs for about 7 days, Cookiebot stores consent records for 12 months, and Mailchimp retains email subscription data until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
